Boer Goat Australia Inc

BGA  

Boer Goat Australia membership is open to all, whether you are a serious breeder or hobbyist. We maintain a national register of Standard Boers & Red Boers. Black Boers & Paints can also be registered under Standard or Red & then selecting a colour option in the registration template. BGA are also passionate about supporting the Commercial industry & offer members registration of Upgrade Boers in a separate registry. We can also maintain registrations for International Members who have purchased Fullblood Genetics from Australia.

We will endeavour to provide our members with up to date information that will improve the standards of breeding, health and welfare of their goats, we want our members to have a more rewarding and profitable future in the Boer Goat Industry.

Our members will be encouraged to help promote the Boer breeds by attending and displaying at Open Field Days, Agricultural Shows, Farm Expo’s etc.  BGA is happy to assist with funding for these activities that promote the breeds and  benefit our members.

Our Board & Committee are dedicated to all members, small and large, stud or commercial, we will not favor one sector over another, all are equal.

We hope our members will contribute to make this association one we can all be proud of, so please consider joining and let the future be a prosperous one for all.

PLEASE NOTE:
Boer Goat Australia will except all Australian Boer Goat associations/societies fullblood registrations which trace back on both sire and dams side to Boer Goat genetics from South African bred animals .


A minimum fee will be charged to upload the genetic history of any new registrations not currently recorded on our database. This is an administration fee only.

BGA Mission Statement

BGA caters for all Boer Goat enthusiasts from the Hobbyist to Stud to Commercial producers. We encourage members to provide fit for purpose breeding stock to the commercial sector to support the Australian meat goat industry. We offer Fullblood & Upgrade Registries. Our focus is promotion of the Boer Goat Breed providing education & assistance to all members, to ensure the Boer Goat remains known as the Best Meat Goat in the world.

BGA CODE OF ETHICS

*Please read the following before completion of Boer Goat Australia’s membership application.

All members at the time of joining must agree to abide by this Associations Code of Ethics and Rules and Regulations.

CODE OF ETHICS:

Members will always strive to improve the Boer goat breed.
Members should always breed, raise and maintain their animals according to current animal welfare standards.
Members are asked to endeavor to increase the awareness of the Boer Goat breed, and its role in the commercial goat meat industry.
Members should always maintain integrity, and at all times observe a professional conduct when in the public eye and participating at any activities when representing the association.
Members are asked to declare any conflict of interest and disqualify themselves from any activity or process where that conflict may impact the association.
Those official office bearers of the association are in a position of trust and will not abuse that trust, they will always observe good and fair business principles when acting on behalf of the association.
Members to strictly observe all statutory obligations, rules and regulations associated with your membership.
