Serving as Vice President for the past four-five  years, during which I have worked
collaboratively with the committee to support the President, maintain constitutional
integrity, and contribute to fair and transparent decision-making in the best interests of
BGA members. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the Association’s
objectives, governance structure, and strategic priorities.
My professional background in policing has strengthened my skills in ethical leadership,
accountability, compliance, and impartial decision-making. These skills support the
Association’s mission and constitutional obligations, ensuring rules are applied consistently, complex matters are managed appropriately, and decisions are evidence-based and
justifiable.
Alongside my governance experience, I am an active Boer goat breeder and have
undertaken professional development, including attendance at the South African
Judges School. I have also attended the World Boer Goat Show in South Africa and
visited a wide range of breeding enterprises, from large-scale commercial operations to
smaller stud and seedstock farms. Networking with breeders across South Africa and

Zimbabwe has given me insight into international best practices and the role strong
peak bodies play in supporting members.
